Ohio Adult Guardianship Education Program Superintendence Rules and describe mandatory adult guardianship education, including a one-time fundamentals course and continuing education requirements for each following year. To help meet this requirement, the Supreme Court of Ohio is offering free courses to guardians of adults. A guardianship is a court-ordered relationship in which one adult is authorized to make decisions for and act on behalf of another adult person. A guardianship is often established so that a parent or parents is/are authorized to make decisions for and act on behalf of an adult child. Either, or both parents can be appointed as guardians.
Fundamentals of Adult Guardianship Course. This course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for total CLE hour(s) instruction.
